More About Them...

Written by a volunteer, Crystal Fox: At first glance anyone would think that Marcos is a real charmer. And he is:) But he`s also a very smart boy! I think he told me that he was going into grade 8, which would make him much further along in school than most of the kids in the program. He picks up things very easily and is very proud when he does so. I remember when he finished his first hemp bracelet, his face was just glowing with pride:) He also seemed to do very well with english. There were several occasions where I was struggling with a word and he came to my rescue.I think that Marcos will really benefit from the club/vocational school, he`s a very smart, charming boy who has the potential to do well for himself if he`s given the chance.

Pool Party!

Liz, along with Jencen and Jenny (two Canadian volunteers in the DR for 2 weeks) took the girls of the Girls Club to a pool party, and Vanessa was able to attend! She is wearing the pink bathing suit top, and in the group picture she is wearing the red shirt.
